Just Reflecting

Boomer...he was tiny as a colt and barely came up to my kneecaps. He's quite a bit bigger now and in the training program here on campus and will be sold in the May colt auction.

I will miss him. Who would think that time goes by so quickly?

One more photo..this is what I saw whenever I took care of him. Friendly little booger.

Love

I know, I know. A day early, but I couldn't help but post this today, since I got the flowers in the mail today. Love knows no distance or boundaries.

Flowers are from my fiance who's in Iraq right now. The flowers are a product of Ecuador. How's that for International Love? :)

Shadows Upon My Bridge

We have bridges everywhere in our lives: to our friends, to our significant others, to our family. We must remember to remember to strengthen these bridges and not let them fall into decay. Don't let rumors and doubts cast shadows upon your bridges.

Eyes to A Soul

I find the equine eye just utterly enchanted. They seem to be a window to the core of his or her soul and have so much expression. I also find that eyes are a reflection of the viewer.

Do you find peace when you look into his eye? Or is it a reflection of your own torn emotions? Sorrow? Dread? Worry?

Dreaming of Summer

With the snow piling up quickly outside, I find myself dreaming of summer. I also dream occasionally of those who are lost or have lost.

Spirit is the chestnut (light brown) horse in the lower right hand corner. This photo was the last one taken of him before he left us. Be free Spirit and I shall find you again in summer one day.
